HOW CAN SPIRITUALLY ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE

We often hear the word spirituality, but do we actually know about it? Spirituality means a spiritual personality. Spirituality is a belief that there is more to life or consciousness. It’s about accepting the facts as they are. It can mean expanding the mind beyond it’s limitations and thoughts about life. You don’t need to follow a particular religion to have a spiritual life. Whether you are rich or poor, successful or not, there’s always an underlying feeling of dissatisfaction and emptiness. Spirituality is a search for purpose in life. It directs us, guides us and gives us the meaning of life. Peace is the highest goal in your life. To be peaceful means that you’re not messing your mind and your system is at ease. We all often set unachievable goals in our life for our happiness but sometimes the outcome is not what we expect. You just need to find peace in what you do and not by setting a target that you know you won’t be able to achieve. Spirituality encourages people to be positive. Also it helps you to grow as a person. It helps you to overcome the worst in your life and develop yourself as well as allows one to feel good about the little things in life. It could be considered as a path towards self-actualization, inner peace or success as it allows people to become more focused and a better
individual.
 
The person who values spirituality have positive emotions with the smaller pleasures in life. We know that everyone’s path to spirituality is not the same, but it’s important for everyone to explore what they believe. Some do mediation, some do prayers and some do specific spiritual practices to find peace. One should enjoy every little pleasures in life. Everyone should be aware of what they believe, what influences their behavior, thoughts and emotions. Some people express their spirituality in a religious way and some don’t but spirituality is not the same as religion as spirituality doesn’t involve blind faith. Spirituality doesn’t mean filling your mind with beliefs. It basically gives a sense of inner peace and balance among mental, physical and social aspect of our lives. Spirituality completely changes our life. We feel more selfless, fearless, anxiety-free and pure from the inside as it makes the mind free from fear, worries, and non-stop thinking. Spirituality is also used as a way of recognizing that our role in life has a greater value than just what we do. It can often be practiced alongside things like yoga which mainly focus on stress relief. A person with spiritual practices have better health and more energy. Also getting involved in spiritual practices is the best way to come out of bad situations like depression or panic attacks. By connecting to one’s own thoughts and feelings through spirituality, people are able to feel more positive, hopeful and improve their self-esteem which helps in
improving the mental health. It helps you to be you and that is what spirituality is all about.
